Stuart Sharp

U.S. Soccer Paralympic National Team
Head Coach

Stuart has more than 18 years of experience coaching soccer from the grassroots to professional academy level in the U.S., and across four continents, including delivering workshops on behalf of UEFA and The Asian Football Confederation.

Stuart has been the head coach of the U.S. Soccer Federation’s Paralympic National Team since January 2014, during that time he has significantly elevated the program’s awareness in the U.S., in addition to improving the National Team’s official world ranking. He is the former Head of Technical Development and an International Classifier for the International Federation of Cerebral Palsy Football (IFCPF), which is the world governing body for Paralympic 7-a-Side Soccer, he and now chairs their National Team Managers Working Group.

Stuart also worked as The Scottish Football Association’s National Development Manager for Disability Football, where he developed a national player pathway in addition to the creating and tutor on coach education courses. He is also the former Director of International Sport Development for BlazeSports, during which time he successfully expanded their global sport development programs to encourage best practice in the fields of disability sport, recreation and physical activity for people with disabilities.
