Recovery: Looking Forward to the Next Match

Once the match is over, players should start looking toward the next competition. This means that it is essential that teams and players develop an effective recovery strategy. This presentation will describe the energetic and physical demands of a match and training. It will also discuss several strategies for enhancing recovery. These include proper diet, sleep and physical methods such as ice and massage. The ultimate goal is to give coaches the necessary background to help their team recovery and ensure that their players continue to perform at their peak.
